GM Voluntary Separation Program

March 2023 | Lauren Kukawinski | Resources > General Finance

Yesterday’s announcement was a major one and here are a few highlights:

  • It is strictly voluntarily and applies to most salaried employees with 5+ years of experience.
  • The offer is one month of severance for every year of service (capped at 12 months)
  • In addition to that a lump sum payment to cover COBRA health insurance for up to 12 months.
  • There is a deadline of March 24th to put in an expression of interest and the decision to be approved or denied should be returned by March 31st.

This obviously doesn’t leave a lot of time to weigh a very important life decision. Because so many of our clients either work directly at GM or have friends and family there, we wanted to offer our help. We are offering a 30 minute Sounding Board Session for anyone that this offer impact. Here are the details:

  • There is no cost or obligation and it is completely confidential
  • You can ask any and all questions that are on your mind
  • We will simply listen and provide objective advice to help you make an educated decision

Please forward this video to anyone that you think it might help. If you’re interested in scheduling your own Sounding Board Session, simply click here.
